master:Line_FrePhase_Options parametersPSCAD Frequency Dependent (Phase) Model
Every parameter of the PSCAD Frequency Dependent (Phase) Model (master:Line_FrePhase_Options): 26 names, with the unit, the default and the meaning PSCAD gives each one. Copy a name into parameters().
What master:Line_FrePhase_Options is
Frequency Dependent (Phase) Model, a component of PSCAD's Master Library, filed under lines, cables and towers.

Read and write master:Line_FrePhase_Options in Python
import mhi.pscad
pscad = mhi.pscad.connect() # the PSCAD that is open; launch() starts one
project = pscad.project("my_case") # a case loaded in the workspace
for comp in project.find_all("master:Line_FrePhase_Options"): # the exact definition, namespace first
params = comp.parameters() # every parameter, as PSCAD holds it
print(str(params["AMaxE"])) # Maximum Final Fitting Error, in %
comp = project.find_all("master:Line_FrePhase_Options")[0]
comp.parameters(AMaxE="0.4 [%]") # a value that carries a unit is written with it
- A parameter is named exactly as in the table, letter case included:
parameters()gives every one of them in a dictionary, and a name the component does not have is refused. - A value that carries a unit comes back as a number whose unit is only in its text, so read it as text first (
str(...)) or the unit is lost. PSCAD keeps a written unit as it is given:"2500 [mohm]"stays in mohm. - A Choice is read and written as its symbol (the capitals in "Written as"), not as the words PSCAD shows in the dialog.
find_all()takes the exact definition only. A wildcard or a bare name withoutmaster:comes back empty; the Builder'spx_findwalks the pages for those.
The Builder's runtime does the same with the unit handled for you: px_get(comp, "AMaxE") and px_set(...), which also records the old value so the case is put back at the end. Getting started shows them.

DC Correction

DCCORChoice | · | FUNCTIONAL_FORM | Correction MethodSelect Functional Form or Add Pole/Residue. See EMTDC | Transmission Lines and Cables | DC Correction for details.Written as FUNCTIONAL_FORM (Functional Form), ADD_POLE_RESIDUE (Add Pole/Residue)Used when DCenab == 1 |
DCenabChoice | · | DISABLED | DC Correction isThe goal of the DC Correction procedure is to guarantee the exact fitting of the rational function at zero hertz, hence giving the correct DC response for the line. However, take care to monitor the log file for problems with fitting.Written as DISABLED (Disabled), ENABLED (Enabled) |
enablfChoice | · | YES | Use Loss Tangent for Cable Dielectric Losses (recommended)Written as YES (Yes), NO (No)Used when DCenab == 1 |
shntcabReal | mho/m | 1.0E-9 | Cable Shunt Conductance (obsolete)This value is important in order to obtain a stable time domain simulation (i.e. it improves passivity at low frequencies) and also helps to improve the behaviour of the rational function at low frequencies. The shunt conductance should be a very small value and will not affect the high frequency behaviour of time domain simulations. Typical shunt conductance values should remain in the order of 1e-9 or 1e-10. This input is ignored for overhead lines, as it is entered within the tower component.Range 1E-100 to 100000000Used when DCenab == 1 |
